JCAD LACHS Version 5 Progress Report and Roadmap Update

The development of version 5 is progressing well with the development team working hard to align their work in preparation for the set of User Group Meetings in the Autumn where we will have the opportunity to put a spotlight on the next generation of LACHS.

We also have a new resource, Simon Berry, assigned with the task of performing research and development of a web-based version of LACHS. It is important that we have an outline approach to these developments as they will be closely aligned to the current development of the Version 5 desktop version. Web-based applications work quite differently to desktop applications in terms of user interface and functional design so the work that Simon is doing will be invaluable to the continued development roadmap for LACHS.

We are continuing to work towards the release schedule for version 5 being in Spring 2016. This version release will contain all the core claims handling functionality and asset register features of LACHS, as well as, as many modules we can have developed for that time. Any outstanding developments will be continued over the subsequent months after initial release with the full product suite being made available by the summer.

During this period we will be actively developing a web-based version of LACHS initially aimed to compliment version 5 and assist with the requirements to home working and remote system access. The longer term goal is to have the option to provide a range of deployment options from a desktop based solution to a web-based solution or a combination of the two to meet the expectations and requirements of all our clients across many different sectors.
