Customise JCAD LACHS with claims handling modules

As off-the-shelf software, JCAD LACHS offers quick implementation and a variety of standard tools designed to help streamline claims management.
But if you’re looking to customise your system, we also offer a range of modules that can be added on to further enhance how your team operate. This modular format means you can create a solution that’s tailored to your specific requirements and it keeps costs down because you won’t be paying for things you don’t want or need.

Asset Register

With such a close link between insurance claims and the assets to which these claims occur, it makes sense to manage both from a single location.

The Asset Register module enables the management of assets and their associated claims all from within the JCAD LACHS database. Record key information against each asset, calculate premium information, ascertain risk levels and carry out trend analysis, all with just a few clicks. Plus, the system automatically retains a full audit history for each record.

It includes:

  • Motor register – Provides access to your entire vehicle and claims information.
  • Driver register – Avoid duplication of data entry and prevent errors by centralising all information relating to driver activities.
  • Property and contents register – Covers annual property, contents and claims information.
  • Enhanced property register – Get real-time information to identify areas of risk and tailor premiums and intra-year adjustments as appropriate.
  • Property premium rate breakdown – Split premium calculations into separate areas of risk such as fire, flood and terrorism.
  • Property EDI – Upload and synchronise property information with external housing databases.

You can choose to integrate the complete suite or select only the segments that are applicable to your business.

Benefits include:

  • Integration with the claims database and associated modules
  • Extensive workflow capabilities
  • Premium calculations and renewals
  • Historic premium audit
  • Pro-rata premium calculation for properties
  • Premium Breakdown calculations

Premium Recharge

With the Premium Recharge module, users can view recharge criteria and premium distribution information easily and adjust them for real-time modelling. Each policy can have different recharge models applied and the entire module can be integrated with the asset register.

Benefits include:

  • Factor upon claims experience, salary and personnel numbers, departmental weightings and specify custom factors
  • Encourage greater ownership of claims and thus loss control
  • Integrates with the Asset Register
  • Dynamic real-time modelling processes
  • Departmental allocation reports
  • Full recharge histories are maintained

Scheduled Electronic Data Upload (EDI)

Save time, avoid repetitive data entry and improve accuracy with the Scheduled Data Upload module.
This enables the automatic upload of extract claim files from the insurer or broker directly into the system so the information doesn’t need to be manually entered. It can match claim data to various providers and maintains an audit history.

Benefits include:

  • Increased efficiency
  • Improved data integrity
  • Up-to-date financial position
  • Reduced manual data entry

Providers include: Zurich Municipal, Travelers, Dolmans, Cunningham Lindsey, Gallagher Bassett, AON and also a generic file format for other providers.

Triangulation and Fund Modelling

This module is designed to analyse claim costs by range and historical RPI inflations and then forecast the most economic combination of policy premium and policy deductible based on previous trends.

Benefits include:

  • Reduce premiums by identifying most appropriate excess combinations.
  • Modelling of likely claims experience.

Gazetteer and GIS Integration

JCAD LACHS Gazetteer and GIS Integration module links directly to an organisations property Gazetteer database and conforms to the BS7666 standard. Clever functionality enables the search and access of address, UPRN and coordinate information, saving valuable time and ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.

Benefits include:

  • Assists in address data entry through easy to search facility
  • Ensures accurate address information

Online Claim Submission

(First Notification of Loss)
Simplify the process of submitting claim submissions by enabling the form to be filled out online. This module makes it easy to set up an intuitive online interface where claimants can enter all the details of a claim – no more sending out forms or having to chase up missing information.
Once the claim is submitted, the details are automatically added to the database, reducing the amount of data entry and speeding up the time it takes to process a claim.
The online system also offers claims managers the option to retrieve information remotely – both historic claims files and documentation relating to outstanding claims.

Benefits include:

  • Design any number of data input forms
  • No sending out of claim forms
  • Reduce duplication of claims data entry
  • Increase claims handling efficiency
  • Conform to e governance guidelines

Claims Portal Integration

Regulations from the Ministry of Justice demand that public liability and employer’s liability claims must be dealt with in a specific way and within a brief time period. In addition, these types of claims must also be entered into the MOJ’s claims portal.
With JCAD’s Claims Portal module, this demanding and complicated process is greatly simplified. The software helps speed up processing claims through Stage 1 from Acknowledgement to Liability Decision making, and new claims data can be synchronised between the Claims Portal website and your LACHS database.
