Happy New Year from all of us at JCAD

Hi

The past year has seen a number of changes at JCAD: we have taken on three members of staff and in October we become a limited company. This reflects the continued expansion of the company and our continued success in penetrating new markets.

We are proud to say that this year we have welcomed a number of new clients from a range of sectors, a small selection includes: the City & County of San Francisco, The British Council, Tyne & Wear Museums, New College Durham and most recently AFA Ltd. The diversity of sectors that we now work with: local government, central government, police authorities, housing associations, academic bodies and commercial organisations will strengthen JCAD and improve the applications that we develop.

In terms of new developments version 4.12 of JCAD LACHS has just been released and has been made available for download to those clients already upgraded to JCAD LACHS V4. We will also be releasing JCAD RISK V3.2 sometime during the first quarter of 2010.

JCAD has been offering hosting services for JCAD RISK for some time now and a number of our new clients are already using JCAD RISK V3 in our hosted environment.

Awards

We are also delighted that one of our JCAD RISK clients, the London Borough of Ealing, recently won the Risk Management Award at the LGC Finance Awards 2009. The team at Ealing was lead by Naresh Chenani, Risk Manager, who many of you will be aware won an award at the Strategic Risk Awards in Berlin earlier this year. We would also like to take this opportunity of wishing Naresh well as he takes up a new post with Deloittes in the near future.

JCAD again sponsored a prize at the IRM Risk Management Awards this year. The award for Best Public Sector Risk Management went to Sian Biggsx at Transport For London.

RISK User Group

We have organised a user group for our risk clients. Hertfordshire County Council have very kindly agreed to host this event which will take place on the 14th January. Currently we have about 25 confirmed attendees and with about 40 places available, if you haven’t yet booked, you will need to do so soon as places are provided on a ‘first come first served ‘basis.

Case Study Request

I'm still looking for case studies and the offer of £50 vouchers still stands.
