Sodexo in the UK and Ireland, has over 48,000 people providing services to 2,300 client locations across all market sectors.

LACHS User Group

JCAD are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the contract for the provision of a Risk Management System to an organisation based in Europe.

JCAD are working in informal partnership with Gallagher Bassett who are providing Risk management consultancy to this organisation as they start to roll out their risk framework over the next few years. JCAD RISK will be the medium by which this framework will be distributed and where risks will be captured, monitored and reviewed.

JCADRISK User Group Meeting - 22nd June 2007

We last ran a RISK User Group meeting back in April 2006. Appreciative of the fact that this was very popular and useful we are running another on the 22nd June.

JCADRISK Version Release 1.9

April 2007

The latest version of JCADRISK is now available for download at the usual place in the user area.

This release has a number of exciting new features including;

  • A rewrite of user permissions so that it is simpler for Administrators to implement and maintain Business Unit/Project access.
  • Several enhancements have been made to the Diary/Letters facility within the Web Interface.
  • Administrators now have the ability to turn off/on Email notifications for individual user accounts

National Fraud Initiative changes their file specifications

The National Fraud Initiative has added a new field "Date Paid" as a requirement for their new data specifications.

We have released a new procedure that conforms to the new specification as outlined in the National Fraud initiative 2006/7 Handbook: Local Government.

Productive JCAD User Group Meetings

September 2006

We would like to thank all those users who were able to attend our User Group Meetings held this month in London, Newcastle and Cardiff.

We were able to see over 60% of our clients and meet over 120 of our users over the three days and this gave us the opportunity to show you what we were planning over the next year or so and to get some constructive feedback.

The overall response from the attendees was very positive and we would like once again to take this opportunity to thank the hosts who provided excellent facilities for each of the meetings.


Gavin takes 9th place in the Marathon of Britain

After 6 days and 175 miles of running Gavin took 9th place in the MOB out of 36 finishers.

This weekend sees the start of the 4th Marathon of Britain in Great Malvern. 52 runners are covering 175 miles in six days across Britain carrying everything they need for the week.

After months of preparation Gavin will now embark on this challenge of a lifetime. You can follow the race live at www.marathonofbritain.com/live from sunday.

There will also be news bulletins on ITV local news stations during the week and in the Press.

And just to top it off Gavin will be completing the Nottingham marathon on Sunday 10 September with other MOB runners in order to take the total distance run in one week to 201 miles.

User Group Meeting Announcement

We will be JCAD are pleased to announce three User Group Meetings in September of this year.

We are extremely grateful to three of our clients: Richard Williams, Corporation of London; Joanne Walters, Newcastle City Council and Steve Thomas, Cardiff County Council who have offered to host these meetings.

This year we are publishing the three dates to all our clients; clearly location will play the major role in determining which you individually choose, but if the closest is not possible then other venues are available.

However, there are finite numbers possible in all locations so the sooner you let us know your requirement then the sooner we can confirm a place for you.

There should be no need to limit attendance to just yourself, your key staff will also be welcome.

The locations and dates are:

Newcastle City Council:              21/9/06

Cardiff County Council:               27/9/06

The meetings will run from 10:30 am (10:00 am coffee) to 15:30 pm with a break for lunch.

ISO Accredition Retained after Lloyds Register Quality Assurance Audit

Three years after having received ISO 9001:2000 certification Lloyds Register Quality Assurance carried out a full audit of our working practices and procedures.

We are pleased to say that we have been recommended for re-certification after a very successful audit.

John completed 'The TigerPuss Challenge'

July 2006

As some of you may know our Chief Executive, John Crawford, was set to cycle Mont Ventoux, the toughest climb in the world to raise money for the Everyman's vital Tiger/Pussycat Prostate Cancer Test.

On the 16th June 2006, they all successfully completed the climb having puffed, panted, sweated and toiled to get there.

So far donations have raised £17,200.10 and we would like to thank all those who have contributed to the cause.

The TigerPuss Challenge - 16th June 2006

JCAD RISK User Group Meeting

Croydon Council is hosting the JCAD RISK UGM. There are 25 delegates attending a number of whom will be presenting their own experiences with embedding Risk Management into the Authority and how JCAD RISK has made their task easier.

Gavin Reynolds takes first place in MOBLite Ultra-Marathon

March 2006

Congratulations must go to Gavin for taking first place in this grueling event. Gavin completed the first marathon on the Saturday with an overall lead of 19 minutes. Starting at first light on the Sunday he completed the second marathon taking first place by 13 minutes giving him the overall lead of 32 minutes over the other competitors.

Gavin Reynolds Completes his first Ultra-Marathon

February 2006

Not content with completing four previous marathons Gavin Reynolds has now moved into the ultra-marathon arena!

Completing a 45 mile race from Tring to Maida Vale in London in 7.5 hours Gavin has begun his training for the 'Marathon of Britain' in September which consists of running 175 miles over 6 days.

Next month he will be taking on the challenge of running two marathons over two days over a weekend in March.

  • Link to your LLPG gazetteer for address information to save on data-entry, enforce data accuracy and provide detailed addressing information to your GIS applications

Enhanced Property Register Module

  • Record all the intra-year movements on your property register

RISK 2003 Version 1.70 Released

December 2005

The update version of the Intranet (Web Browser) version is now RELEASED.

Enhancements to both the intranet and windows client versions include the ability to change fields names throughout the application.

Additionally a recent CPA 2005 requirement has been added - control measure resource requirements.

Two new client orders have been received from Fife Council and Metropolitan Housing Trust.


LACHS 2000 Detailed EDI Procedures for Zurich Municipal

October 2005

The procedures have been enhanced to enable detailed liability payment information for be brought over into LACHS 2000 from files on the Zurich Municipal web site.

Clients using this facility include Newcastle City Council, North Lincolnshire Council and London Borough of Croydon.


RISK 2003

October 2005

The read only intranet (web Brower) version is now released and installed at the London Borough of Newham, Isle of Wight Council and West Lothian Council.

Risk 2003 is now installed at Scottish Borders Council and the London Borough of Bexley.


LACHS 2000 Leaseholder Module

May 2005

The Asset Register has been enhanced to provide the functionality for recording information on leaseholder (Sold Flats and Commercial Properties). This will calculate and record a history of all pro-rata premiums, refund amounts and record all new properties, revaluation and disposals of properties during the policy year.

Risk 2003 Intranet Version

January 01, 2005

Development of the first version of the Risk 2003 Intranet system is almost complete. The 'Read Only' system will allow users throughout an organisation to view their risks and associated control measures, and will also display any overdue or future reviews assigned to them. This is due to be installed at test sites during February 2005.

The second phase of the Intranet system, which will allow users to insert and update risk/control measure details, is planned for the 4nd quarter of 2005.


Risk 2003 installations

November 01, 2004

Over the past few months we have had a lot of interest in the Risk 2003 system from a number of organisations. We now have nearly 15 clients using Risk 2003, and the latest clients to choose the system have included Lambeth London Borough Council, Islington London Borough Council and Chester-le-Street District Council.

New orders recently include Derwentside District Council, Luton Borough Council and Bexley London Borough Council.

Our first Risk 2003 User Group Meeting was held at The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea on Friday 22nd October. The meeting was a great success and helped us focus our attentions on what would benefit the system in terms of development, and it also gave everyone the opportunity to share their own thoughts and experiences in the Risk Management process.
