New Season - West ByFleet Scorpions

The start of the new season (now under 9's)  saw the arrival of a couple of new players who have slotted in nicely to the squad. We also lost a few towards the end of last season to another team, the transfer market is keen these days!

So our first game was away to Horsley FC B's and I am delighted to say that we kept a clean sheet and also notched up 5 goals. This puts us second in the league, just behind Leatherhead on goal difference. Next week we are at Home to Teddington, so here's hoping we continue as we started.

If you like to follow the scores you can see them here at prawnsandwich.com. Our league is Epsom & Ewell and we are in Division 3.

Recent result for West Byfleet Scorpions U'8 B

West Byfleet Scorpions

5th March Result for the Scorpions

At the weekend the West Byfleet Scorpions played at home to a strong Epsom & Ewell Colts side who had beaten us soundly a few months back.  We went down two goals in the first half but with a few changes got one back in the second half.  We had a couple more chances but were unable to find the back of the net so the final result was a 2-1 loss

Next week we are away to Ashtead and the following week home to a very tough Wimbledon FC.  Fingers crossed.

A win for the Scorpians

West Byfleet ScorpionsThe JCAD sponsored Scorpions secure a victorious win!

Over the course of the last 3 weeks the Scorpians B’s have been slowly improving. On the 22nd of the month they lost 3-0 but missed a number of chances that if have been converted into goals would have greatly changed the result. This week however, they stormed it, beating Ewell Saxons 6 – 0. This was the first win of the season, with one of the players scoring 5!

On the 5th of February we are away to Oxshott Royals who beat us 4-2 about 6 weeks ago. With a decent win under our belts and with confidence high I think they’re in for a shock!
