Newsletter Winter 2007

Hi,

Since the summer newsletter I am pleased to say that we have finally taken possession of our new premises (see below). We moved in on the 8th October and we are now based at:

Manor Barn

Hawkley Road

Hawkley, Nr Liss

Hampshire

GU33 6JS

Tel  01730 712020

Fax 01730 712030

Manor Barn, Hawkley

This is a wonderful old converted barn that should meet our requirements well into the next decade.

Regarding development, work on LACHS Version 4 and RISK Version 2 are well underway and are scheduled for release in Q1/Q2 next year.

Thanks

EVENTS

JCAD exhibited at the CIR Global Risks Conference on the 14th November. This important event took place at the IOD Hub, New Broad Street, EC2M 1NH and included such speakers as;

  • Michael Cassidy CBE, the City of London Corporation and
  • John Milne, Head of Business Continuity at the FSA
  • as well as the very entertaining Gerald Ratner.

Thanks to all those clients and guests who came along to the stand and we hope you found it worthwhile.

JCAD will also be exhibiting at the LCG, Fundementals of Risk Conference being held on the 29th Januray at the Barbican, EC2.

I'm sure that some of our clients or prospects might find this of interest and more information can be found at the link...

A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO EMBEDDING RISK MANAGEMENT THROUGH TECHNOLOGY

After discussions with a number of clients and prospects we have now produced a brief publication that we hope will assist in implementing risk solutions.

This is based upon our experiences over the last few years of what works and what hinders.

If you'd like a copy please drop us an email or give us a call.

REGIONAL TRAINING - UPDATE

You may recall from the last newsletter that we asked which of you would be interested in some form of regionalised training. The idea was to organise a group training day for a number of clients in a specific region, thus providing efficient and cost effective training, based around pre-defined topics.

Thanks to those of you that responded. If you would still like to take part in this or would like more informaton please contact Tim (tim@jcad.com) or myself.

CASE STUDY REQUEST

I'm still looking for case studies and the offer of £50 vouchers still stands.

On the back of their success at ALARM this year, the London Borough of Croydon have now provided a study for us and if you'd like a copy please let me know. Incidentally, the donation of £50 went to the Mayor's Charity.

Suffolk County Council have also provided an interesting study with their donation going to Suffolk Carers Ltd.

Thanks to both these organisations for sharing their experiences.
