Spring is upon us and although a little damper and colder than we had perhaps aticipated and hoped for, summer is not far off.

I am pleased to announce the release of RISK Version 2 and the imminent release of LACHS Version 4. The former is available for download on our user area now and LACHS 4 is scheduled for release in July/August.

Both of these applications will be demonstrated at our forthcoming User Groups and if you have not yet recieved a notification please let me know asap as spaces are limited and we have already recieved well over a 100 confirmations.

The venues and dates are as follows;

EUROPEAN RISK AWARD

Congratulations to Joachim Adenussi and Sue Fretwell from Essex County Council who were highly commended at the Strategic Risk European Risk Awards in April.

Their commendation was for their great work in Risk Management Communication and I would hope to be able to share more information about this at some point soon.

EVENTS

JCAD will of course be at ALARM this year, the venue being the NEC in Birmingham. This takes place on the 30th June and 1st July and we look forward to seeing many of our clients there.

This year JCAD are a silver sponsor so myself and Gavin will be attending the black tie event which I am sure will be as much fun as last year.

London Marathon 2008

I am pleased to inform you that Team JCAD again successfully completed the London Marathon.

Adrain was able to complete the course in just under 4 hours which was his goal and Damian and Gavin did it in an incredible 3.16 and 3.20 respectively. So well done to all three of them.

Personally, i'm toying with the idea of a 5K in September, hey you have to start somewhere!!

Carrying on the sporting tradition at JCAD John will be cycling in the London to Paris race in June.

This race of about 300 riders is spread over 3 days and covers 350 miles. John is in good company as other competitors include proffesional riders such as Steven Roach and Sean Kelly as well as famous sportsmen such as James Cracknell.
