Summertime at JCAD

Hi

It felt like yesterday when the UK was snowed in but summer has arrived and in that time JCAD have been extremely busy.

Our client base has continued to grow and we are delighted to welcome North Somerset , Durham County and Hull City Councils on the LACHS side of the business and Somerset, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough and Portsmouth City Councils to JCAD RISK. We look forward to a long and productive relationship.

RISKlite has launched giving the option for smaller organisations to dedicate a system to risk management without a large financial commitment. We are proud to have two clients on board so quickly: West Suffolk College and the Institution of Engineering & Technology.

In terms of future new developments we are expecting a new release of JCAD LACHS v4.3 by the end of June. The new features will enhance the Health and Safety Incident reporting module, LACHSweb and the Multiple Premium Rate module. Clients with these modules can upgrade for free to enable the additional functionality.

The Health and Safety Incident reporting module has been extensively developed to enable simple capturing of health and safety incidents. The upgrade will enable users to customise incident report forms to their own data capture requirements and quickly generate RIDDOR F2508 forms for the HSE.

Further enhancements to LACHSweb result in users being able to upload related documents during claim submissions and claim submitters will be automatically notified on promotion or rejection of a claim to the database.

Users of the Multiple Premium Rate (MPR) module can now adjust the premium rate information against a property during revaluations.

For full details of the new version please contact us on +44 (0) 1730 712020 or email jcad@jcad.com

We look forward to seeing you at ALARM.

Events

PRIMA - JUNE 2010

JCAD were invited by Gallaghers Scholastic & Public Entity Division to PRIMA's “Risk Management: It’s Quite the Ride!” conference in Florida in June. PRIMA - the largest risk management association dedicated solely to the practice of risk management in the public sector, put on a great conference with lots of educational sessions and a number of demos.

It was a fantastic opportunity for us to meet with representatives from Canada and the US responsible for the development of International Risk Standard (ISO3100). We are pleased that our RISK application is 9/10ths of the way to complying with this standard and with the further developments that we have planned we should fully meet the standards very soon.

ALARM - JUNE 2010

JCAD will have a stand at this year's ALARM conference and exhibition. The conference, themed "Bridging the Gap" is being held in Southport from 27th-29th June and we look forward to seeing clients and prospects alike.

IRMS Ltd - MOREMI INSPIRATIONAL COURSE

Moremi Risk Management course

JCAD is very proud to be sponsoring "Moremi" along with IRMS Ltd. This innovative approach to risk management involves an interactive training course built around the dramatisation of a classical African folktale (performed by professional actors and actresses) and is carefully designed to teach the core principles of effective Governance, ERM and leadership. JCAD attended a preview night and found the evening of great value.

"The use of live actors brought the often stale and unexciting world of enterprise risk management to life. It shows that what we are doing is nothing new, people have been applying risk management techniques for thousands of years – they just didn’t have risk management software to help them!"

For more information about the Moremi course contact +44 (0)845 652 0852 or visit their website.

GALLAGHER BASSETT - ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT COURSE

Many of you will be aware of our partnership with Gallagher Bassett from previous newsletters. Their IRM accredited "Essentials of Enterprise Risk Management" course is a 2 day training programme exploring a broad yet comprehensive introduction to the subject of risk management.

This course has been well received by those who have attended it and we are reliably informed that  Gallagher Bassett will be adding to their suite of training courses with an advanced elements programme.

All JCAD users will receive a £50 discount.

If you would like to book a course or would like more information you can find further details on their website.
