JCAD – Database Support & Operations Technician

 

JC Applications Development Ltd is a UK-based specialist software provider.  In business for 20 years we are now market leaders in the development and support of claims handling and risk management applications to the local authority market. Today we are also successfully penetrating other sectors, such as construction, facilities management, housing, charities and academia.

Currently we provide solutions to over 150 organisations and although predominantly in the UK we also have clients both in Europe and the US.

Due to continued expansion we are now looking for someone to work in the Support & Operations department.

Key responsibilities:

 - To perform data migrations from legacy applications into JCAD’s applications using    Sybase SQ

 - To perform system implementations and provide training

 - To develop bespoke reports using Crystal Reports

 - Provide client helpline support

 - Test new version releases

 - To develop, maintain and update the JCAD website

Key Skills:

The successful applicant will have the following skills/attributes:

 - Educated to a high level in Computer related discipline

 - Have a professional attitude to work, colleagues and clients

 - Knowledge of Crystal Reports and SQL would be advantageous but on-site training will be provided

 - Knowledge of Insurance / Risk Management would be useful
