RM Professional's Risk Management Awards commend JCAD's innovation
RM Professional's 2010 Risk Management Awards were held last week and JCAD were awarded with a high commendation for its JCAD RISK application in the Risk Management Product of the Year category.
JCAD were highlighted from a group of 11 shortlisted candidates, recognised for the real value they deliver to organisations and the groundbreaking innovation that the JCAD RISK product shows.

Latest from the Scorpions - Under 8's football
The team has suffered a few heavy defeats over the last 6 weeks but despite losing again at the weekend to Horsley FC, the score line of 3-1 greatly flattered our opposition. Against Horsley we could have won by 2 or 3 goals but a combination of inexperience and surprise to be in the position of scoring queered the pitch!
A new tactic for the last 2 weeks has been to play in a more attacking 1, 2, 2, 2 formation as opposed to our usual 1, 3, 2, 1 defensive setup (to be frank it hadn’t been working anyway). This has paid dividends with the squad spending far more time in the oppositions half which has greatly encouraged the kids and got a bit of fire in their bellies.
We are away on the 27th to Oxshott Royals who beat us soundly the last time we met – recent form suggests we’ll be a bit tougher this time!!!!
JCAD and Lambeth LBC - Innovative partnership to jointly develop and promote new tool for audit and activity tracking
JCAD are proud to announce an agreement between itself and Lambeth London Borough Council to jointly develop and promote a new tool for audit and activity tracking.
This private/public partnership is an innovative approach by Lambeth which not only addresses a technology need at Lambeth but also a definite need within other organisations. In addition, Lambeth have negotiated a royalties payment for the next two years meaning that additional revenues, albeit modest, will flow into the Council whenever JCAD implements the application within the UK.

Central Beds Case Study - Replacing an outdated system with the JCAD LACHS solution
Many thanks to Sonya Mall at Central Bedfordshire Council for providing us with our latest case study. JCAD LACHS has replaced an internal Access database at the Council and the increased functionality has transformed the insurance department.

Client Survey 2010
At JCAD we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver high quality business solutions.
A large part of how we achieve this is through the constant development and refinement of the services and products we offer.
We had a good response to our survey this year and received some really positive feedback along with some great suggestions for future features.

The Scorpians
JCAD have sponsored my son's Under 8's football team, the West Byfleet Scorpions B's. I should point out that I am also the coach.
We have scored in both games since the start of the season but are currently more of a Wigan than a Chelsea, having lost 4-2 and 4-1.
That said, I am pleased to say that in the game on Saturday it was my Charlie who put one away.
Next week we're in London facing the mighty Old Coulsdon Colts so fingers crossed for a good mid week training session and a win on the 27th!
West Byfleet Scorpians played Oxshott Royals on the 16th October and were unlucky to lose 4 -1. We had a number of chances with some nice through balls being played but our strikers failing to capatalise, that was until the last 10 minutes when Charlie Monk knocked one in from a pass from the left wing.
We now have a couple of weeks off over half term and get back on the case at home again on the 6th November against Reigate FC.
I’ve spotted another young lad by the name of Wayne who I believe could turn things round for us!

Claims Whitepaper - Embedding Claims Handling Technology
JCAD have released a new whitepaper that explores the various problems that an organisation faces regarding its claims handling procedures. Concerns associated with outsourcing are identified and issues that face in-house methods are highlighted.

Risk Management Awards - Product of the Year
JCAD's RISKlite software has been shortlisted in the 'Risk Management Product of the Year' category at RM Professional's Risk Management Awards 2010.
The category focuses on products that have delivered real value to organisations and which provide true proof of groundbreaking innovation.
The winner of the Risk Management Product of the Year, along with the winners from other categories that recognise excellence and innovation in all facets of risk management, will be announced on Thursday 18th November at London's Lancaster Hotel.

RISKlite Case Study
Our first RISKlite case study from the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) is now online. This is a great example of how a global organisation with a diverse array of operations can proactively manage risks using the web hosted RISKlite system.

New Clients
JCAD have secured business from North Somerset, Durham County and Hull City Councils for claims handling solutions.
Somerset County, Rotherham MB and Portsmouth City Councils are new clients in the risk management side of the business.
We also welcome the Institution of Engineering & Technology and West Suffolk College who are now using the new RISKlite application.
ALARM
JCAD were proud to be silver sponsors at this year's ALARM conference in Southport. Congratulations to all award winners. The results can be seen on the ALARM website.
PRIMA
JCAD attended the 2010 PRIMA conference in Florida with partners Gallagher Bassett this month.
Developments
JCAD LACHS v4.3 is set for release at the end of June. The upgrade will enhance features on the Health & Safety Incident Reporting module, LACHSweb and the Multiple Premium Rate module.
